The National Youth Orchestra of Germany turns 50!

The National Youth Orchestra of Germany celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019 with a series of concerts that kick-off with a performance alongside members of the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Hermann Bäumer at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden (18.04.) and continue with three festive concerts under the direction of Ingo Metzmacher, in which many alumni will join the orchestra on stage. Programme of the three festival concerts in Cologne (26.4.), Leipzig (27.4.) and Berlin (29.4.) is Richard Strauss' "An Alpine Symphony " and Edgar Varèses "Amériques".
