Romanian Youth Orchestra at the Elbphilharmonie

Minutes long standing ovations from a sold-out crowd for the Romanian Youth Orchestra, who, on the 12th of September performed under Cristian Mandeal’s baton at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg in the frames of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. The orchestra presented Wagner’s "Prelude and Liebestod" from Tristan und Isolde, Richard Strauss’ Suite from "Der Rosenkavalier” and the Symphony No. 5 by Shostakovich, and further 3 encores to the audience’s delight.
