PREDANVOIGT welcomes conductor Andrea Barizza
PREDANVOIGT is delighted to welcome conductor Andrea Barizza to its roster for general management.
The Italian conductor Andrea Barizza is Chief Conductor of the Dresdner Bläserphilharmonie and has been a long-time assistant to the former Chief Conductor of the Dresden Philharmonic, Michael Sanderling.
Barizza completed his piano studies at the “Giacomo Puccini” Conservatory in his hometown of La Spezia, before moving to Dresden, where he graduated with a diploma in Orchestral Conducting at the "Carl Maria von Weber" College of Music.
Recently, Andrea Barizza enjoyed great success leading Mahler’s 6th Symphony with the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música. Other notable engagements include the Staatsoperette Dresden, Orchester der Landesbühnen Sachsen, the Symphony Orchestra of San Remo, the “Mihail Jora” Philharmonic Bacau, the Oradea State Philharmonic, the Moravská Filharmonie Olomouc, the Teplice Philharmonic, and many more. Forthcoming highlights include performances with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano "Giuseppe Verdi", the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt and the Chamber Orchestra of Berlin. Andrea Barizza is an award winner at the Conducting Competition of the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) and grant holder of the Richard Wagner Association in 2014.
