Conductor Linhan Cui has established herself as a sought-after artist, winning the second prize in the Malko International Conducting Competition in 2021.
With natural expressivity at the core of her work, her experience includes performances with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Korean Symphony Orchestra, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
As a Dudamel Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, in the 2022/23 concert season, she will be a cover conductor and also make her debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
During the 2019-2020 season, Linhan was appointed Conducting Fellow by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra where she had the privilege of serving as Marin Alsop’s cover conductor.
As an Assistant Conductor, Linhan has worked with many renowned conductors such as Leon Fleisher and Xian Zhang.
Cui was born in Shenyang, China and began her piano studies at the age of four. She started conducting at age eighteen, as a student at the Xinghai Conservatory, China where she completed her undergraduate studies.
Linhan Cui holds a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in orchestral conducting at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, under the guidance of Arthur Fagen.
She has participated in a masterclass with USA National Symphony Orchestra.
